Health apps to feed directly into our health records

The government believes a paperless NHS will make its services more convenient. As part of this drive the Health Secretary announced that by March next year NHS England will publish a library of approved apps in areas like mental health and diabetes that will link directly into people’s medical records.

Whilst the NHS don’t want to developed apps themselves they do want entrepreneurs who have the specialist knowledge and creativity to get involved and to encourage this they will  be holding a competition because they believe we need better apps than the ones that are currently available. Not the most resounding endorsement for those apps currently on the NHS app store.
