An App for Personalized Prostate Cancer Survivorship Care

By 2030, prostate cancer will be the most commonly diagnosed cancer in North America and thoughtfully designed and implemented support mechanisms are needed to help with survivorship care treatment.

mHealth apps could support outpatient treatment and monitoring strategies but have not been widely tested in prostate cancer patients. A new study to examine how apps are adopted and accepted by this group, together with their caregivers and clinicians, is being established in Canada and will also look at the impact apps can have on the health-related quality of life of prostate cancer patients.
